The DC Monthly Giveaway (7-12-2010 to 8-15-2010)
This Month’s Question: What is the average striking distance of a prairie rattlesnake?
This Month’s Prize: Tanksetter. Keeps propane tanks in their place. Visit www.tanksetter.com to learn more.
Last Month’s Question: Red painted barns are a common sight throughout rural America. Why are they painted red?
Answer: Blood was added to an oil mixture and as the paint dried it turned from a bright red to a burnt red. Also, farmers added ferrous oxide (or rust) to an oil mixture. The color barn red is the result of an oil mixture.
Last Months Winner: Rich Lea of Fargo, ND. Rich wins (1) Berkley Gulp! 6” Nightcrawler pack, (1) Double Bottom Bouncer, (1) Northland Fishing Tackle Walleye Crawler Hauler spinner and a Northland Tackle Ruler Scale. Congrats Rich!
